Mi Rancho Tequila of Kansas City, Kan., sold the first two tequila futures contracts ever in 500-piece lots at $750 a bottle.

Hermitage Spirit Corp. has the international distribution rights for Mi Rancho Tequila and the rights to put a super-premium version called Mi Rancho Legacy on the futures market.
